Writer’s note: I appreciate you. You are the person who can handle blogposts over 300-500 words in length because I have a tendency to write a lot. And… perhaps I’ve alienated all the women in the world already with all this “Manly Man” talk.
Okay, this is for you. The only one left. Feel privileged.
Today I have the chocolate after-dinner mint for you to digest and those are the questions I forgot to put at the end of the post yesterday’s post – “Manly Man Talk on Friendship.”
Stephen Mansfield designed his book to be used as a group study and so there are study questions and calls to action at the end of each chapter. Manly men are all about action.
Without further delay, here are the questions applicable to the excerpt on “FRIENDSHIP”
WARNING: In terms of being a short post, it’s an after-dinner-mint, but the content is like a hammer. His application section start with the title as follows:

A Man’s Manly Man giving a Manly Man Talk… Major General James M. Gavin, farewell to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. March 11, 1948. Detail of a panorama photograph. Property of Dale Yee.
WHAT THEN WILL YOU DO?
HOW WILL YOU SHOW YOURSELF A MAN?
Take stock of your friendships. Are they shallow, temporary, and unfulfilling? Do they lead you into something other than the paths of manly greatness? Or do they inspire you and make you yearn to be a great man, a manly man? Do you trust your friends, connect with them at a heart/spirit level, and rely on their wisdom and their example?
….
Writer’s Note: That’s it, I said it was going to be short and sweet. Do you need any Madiera or Port with your after dinner mint? Or a Band-Aid?
