Notice, it isn’t “Father OF the Internet” it’s “Father OR the Internet.”
Blogger’s Note: Not again! Another video with a serious subject that puts me on the spot to come up with some explanations. In this video I take a turn in my message that you will not expect, in fact when I re-watched it, it took a turn that surprised even me. I claim freedom of speech and my intent is to be an aid in improving father-child relations.
Toward the end I bring up the issue of Sin and you’ll have to watch it to figure out how I get there. It’s sobering to contemplate how a child finds the internet more of an attraction that his or her father. How could this issue have its roots in the father’s indiscretions? If this video happens to help convict, exhort, or encourage one father who is struggling with his own personal development and happens to be ready to make a change for the better, then I have done something worthwhile.
I realize not all technology use is bad and not all pressure on the parent-child relationship is due to the irresponsible use of technology. Technology can even be one of the focal points for relationship as children find ways to express themselves through technology. Nevertheless, exposure to the many influences contained in the internet has an effect on family relationships that has never been dealt with before; consequently, a father’s role will be taxed in ways like never before.
If inside you are struggling, I’ve got good news for you – you are not alone. Life wasn’t meant to be easy and just because you feel you are struggling to be a good father doesn’t mean you are a bad father. Hang tough, you’ve got what it takes.

Fathers of young children in today’s modern society are facing unprecedented challenges with the wave of technology allowing ever easier access to the internet. The effect on your children has and will have a great influence on their growth. As a parent, you may be feeling the anxiety of having to confront the challenges of being at the end of the rail of the powerful forces driving technology into the laps and hands of your children.
Your work is cut out for you are a father. Even though popular culture doesn’t do well to herald the value of the leadership role of men in the form of fathers, let me tell you right now, being a father in this time and age has never been more important.
